How hair grows
A healthy person has approximately 100,000 hairs on their head. Hair growth happens in three stages.
Anagen Phase
Resting Phase
Falling Phase is called.
Hair contains ‘keratin’, a type of fibrous protein, and each hair grows from a follicle in the scalp that is richly supplied with blood.
Each follicle is located inside. The follicle produces hair cells that rise up from the follicle and grow into the hair shaft.
A hair grows 1-2 centimeters per month. This life cycle of a hair tree is called the hair cycle. Even a healthy hair follicle sheds 70-100 hairs per day.

During pregnancy and childbirth, the effect on the hair cycle causes a lot of hair loss.

In Ayurveda, Darana or Hishori condition is described in Ayurveda where the scalp is irritated by black and vata doshas, where there is a lot of itching and the skin is cracked, and this condition is a hindrance to healthy hair.
Premature graying of hair
Premature graying of hair is a condition that affects young, old and young alike. Ayurveda states that due to anger, sadness and fatigue, irritation, pitha and phlegm travel to the head and hair growth occurs.
Add these to the diet
Vegetables like mukununwanna, moringa leaves, gotukola, spinach, and drinks like Iramusu, Nelli, Rasakinda should be added to the diet frequently. Drinking more water prevents hair from drying out.

Oil care
Coconut oil and orange oil are suitable for hair. By massaging the head with medicated oil such as sesame oil, pushpakeshi, neelaidi, bhrungamalaka, tripala, the temperature of the head decreases and the hair follicles of the head get good blood supply.
Ayurvedic secrets for hair care
Mix a few drops of lime in aloe vera juice, apply it on your scalp and wash it off.
Grind kohlrabi leaves and add a few drops of lime to it and apply it on the scalp.
Natural shampoo for oily hair
1. Boil Siyakka, Tripala and wash your head with that water.
2. Boil siyakka and nelly and wash your head with that water.
A natural conditioner
For dry hair
1. Mix egg white, yogurt (unflavored) and spread
2. Mix egg white, milk, castor oil and apply.
For oily hair
1. Mix yogurt, chickpea flour, honey and apply
2. Yogurt, castor oil, mix and apply.
3. Keikirindia, sesame oil, medicinal wort flower, blue avaria. Apply the juice of Arula, Bulu, Nelly (Tripala) on the hair.
In Ayurveda, bathing before noon is recommended. After the hair is dry, removing the knots with the fingertips and combing from bottom to top and getting a good scalp massage will improve blood circulation.
How to prevent head lice
Cut the godapara nuts into small pieces and dry them into powder. Sepalika leaves are also dried. Wash the hair after grinding bunches of betel nut to make the hair shiny and easy to handle.
To preserve hair color
1 Grind nelli, lotus stamens, sesame seeds, licorice, honey and apply.
2 Grind curry leaves and apply.
3 Grind black sesame seeds and apply.
4 Grind guava leaves and apply.
To control premature hair fall
1. Grind aralu, bulu, nelli with kirundiya juice and apply it two days a week and wash it off after half an hour.
2. Apply the juice of bay leaves twice a week.
It is advisable to use a medicated oil prepared with Visnu Kanti for hair growth.
Tripala oil is suitable for controlling premature graying of hair.
Wash your hair twice a week with boiled water of Nelly, (raw or dried Nelly can be used for this purpose.)
Check the packaging of shampoo and conditioner from the market. Only use a conditioner that matches your hair type.
